Sky Subscription Packages

Introduction

In September, Sky will be simplifying their package choices. This will also affect the pricing for new customers joining Sky from 1st September onwards. Please note that existing customers will be unaffected by the price changes.

The main change is that Sky are reducing the basic TV packs to just two - 'Entertainment' and 'Entertainment Extra'.

'Entertainment' will consist of the Variety and Style & Culture packs. This will be priced at £20.00 (£20.50 if paying by credit/debit card).

'Entertainment Extra' will consist of all six mixes (Variety, Style & Culture, Knowledge, News & Events, Music and the Childrens mix). This will be priced at £25.00 (£25.50 if paying by credit/debit card).

All existing customers will be moved onto one of these two new Entertainment packs. They will all keep the channels that they already have, and many will get more. Existing customers will receive no increase in price when they are moved to a new pack.

Sky Movies and Sky Sports will no longer have the single options of Sports 1 / Sports 2 or Movies 1 / Movies 2. New customers must subscribe to all Movie channels or all Sports channels. Our understanding is that existing customers that currently subscribe to one of the single options will be unaffected, unless they downgrade or have their package blocked by payment failure and subsequently need to upgrade or reinstate the premium channels.

There should be no need to communicate any of these changes to existing customers, unless perhaps they are thinking of downgrading and then upgrading, or are considering cancelling and reactivating at a later date. In these cases, the new package options will apply when they upgrade or reactivate.

SKY SUBSCRIPTIONS FOR NON-UK RESIDENTS
There is an annual charge of £80.00+VAT (20%) for ordering, setting up, activating your card and maintaining the subscription. This charge is separate from, and additional to, the subscription payments that you will make directly to Sky via direct debit. Failure to pay our annual charge will result in the card being shut down. The ordering and activation process will take approximately two weeks.

There is no minimum subscription period. All cards must be returned before the subscription can be cancelled.

Special offers: We cannot guarantee to provide any of Sky's special offers. If it is in your advantage to take up a special offer, we will try and secure it for you, but to avoid disappointment we never promise.

Your first payment to Sky may be higher than expected because Sky will charge you for a month in advance, plus the time that elapsed between card activation (ie when we sent you the card) and the date of the first payment. Your first payment may therefore cover a period of anywhere between one and two months. Subsequent payments will be at the rates shown above.

To avoid loss of service, please make sure you inform us if your credit/debit card details change at any time, even if a new card is issued with the same card number but a new expiry date and security code. If your Sky account is temporarily shut down due to payment failure, we will work with you to resolve the problem.

Sky reserve the right to change the subscription rate at any point in the future, and these changes will be passed onto you without notice.
